1. Agreement to these terms

By creating an account or using any part of the SmartSolar platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Eligibility

To use SmartSolar you must:

• Be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts.
• Provide accurate, current and complete registration and verification information.
• Have a valid bank account and BVN for identity verification and payouts.
• Not be prohibited from using our services under any applicable law.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, provided false information, or engaged in fraudulent or unlawful activity.

4. Solar packages and financing

SmartSolar offers solar systems that may be purchased outright or financed through instalments. The price, instalment amount, term and system specifications are shown in the app before you confirm a package.

Availability, installation timelines and system specifications may vary by location. Installation is carried out by certified technicians and may be subject to a site assessment.

5. Payments, wallet and withdrawals

All payments within the app are made from your SmartSolar wallet. You fund your wallet by bank transfer to the dedicated account we generate for you.

Withdrawals are paid only to the verified bank account you provided during KYC. Withdrawal requests are subject to processing times and any applicable fees, which are disclosed before you confirm.

6. Verification and compliance

You agree to complete all required identity verification (KYC) steps. You must not submit false, misleading or third-party information.

We are required to apply anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism-financing controls and may need to verify, monitor or report transactions in line with applicable law.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive purpose.
• Attempt to probe, scan, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to our systems.
• Interfere with, scrape, copy or reverse-engineer any part of the service.
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
• Use the service in a way that harms other users or third parties.

8. Intellectual property

All content, trademarks, software and materials on the SmartSolar platform are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not use them without our prior written consent.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties not expressly stated in these terms.

To the extent permitted by law, SmartSolar will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the services. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Termination and account deletion

You may stop using our services at any time and may request deletion of your account. Deletion is subject to settlement of outstanding obligations and our legal retention requirements, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access where you breach these terms or where required by law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. You and SmartSolar agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts in respect of any dispute arising from these terms.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email, and we will update the date shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the services after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
